  3. 50 kilometre flight distance

FAI Gold Badge

In order to gain a Gold Badge, you must complete the following:

  1. 300 kilometre flight distance

  2. Three kilometre height gain

  3. Five hour duration flight

FAI Diamonds

A diamond is awarded for completion of each objective, but completing all three is the main ambition of many glider pilots. In order to gain a Diamond Badge, you must complete the following:

  1. 300 kilometre "goal" flight

  2. 500 kilometre total distance flight

  3. Five kilometre height gain
