Initial Training consists of basic exercises such as perfecting the winch launch, lookout, normal flying control, speed control and landing. This section ensures that the student can safely pilot the aircraft before moving on to more advanced exercises.
Your first solo will occur when both you and the instructor team feel you are ready for it. It's hard to describe flying for the first time without an instructor, but it's an experience you won't forget.
Your first flight marks the start of your flying career. Whether it be part of a taster flight, group session or training package, you'll start your training here.
Advanced Pre-Solo training ensures that the student can cope with flying the aircraft in abnormal situations. It includes exercises like stalls and failed launches, but also looks at utilising energy in the atmosphere (called thermals) to extend flights.
